The book is easy to reference, has lots of helpful text, covers all of Ontario’s recorded species, the format is pleasing to the eye, and best of all, is up to date with information on birds specific to this province.

Pauline, all of the books which I have seen are just about "Birds of Ontario" or "Birds of Canada", but not specifically for a certain area in Ontario. Of course that doesn't mean that such books don't exist, but I just don't know of any. I am sorry I.
The Greater Toronto Area encompasses the City of Toronto, the Regional Municipalities of Halton, Peel, York and Durham and the corresponding Canadian waters of Lake Ontario.
Since records have been kept, a total of bird species has been recorded within this area and confirmed breeding evidence has been obtained for of these species. In Spring the first birds to return to Southern Ontario, are the North American Robins, who often arrive during the first week of March.
